We resolve the question of which masks offer protection against viral coronavirus infection (Covid-19).
The answer to the question depends of the total leak of the mask, the size of the particles (up to 0,6 microns) and the concentration of pollutants. The total leak depends on the penetration of the filter and the leak in the mouth and nose area.
It offers non-toxic and non-fibrogenic protection against dust. It is used for situations where inhalation can affect the development of health conditions, irritate the respiratory tract and cause unpleasant odors. It only protects in total leaks of a maximum of 25%, and can only be applied in a MAK violation a maximum of four times.
They are used to protect from harmful fluids from dust, smoke and aerosols, with particles that can be fibrogenic, that is, they irritate the respiratory system in the short term and can reduce the elasticity of lung tissue in the long term. The total leak can have a maximum of 11%, and the MAK transgression is worth ten times.
Protects against poisonous and harmful types of dust, smoke and aerosols, and we can even include pathogens like viruses, oncogenic and radioactive fungal bacteria and spores, which will be filtered by this class of respiratory masks. The total leak cannot be greater than 5%, and the MAK transgression a maximum value of thirty.
